Em certo sentido, 2040WORLD é uma gamificação de modelos económicos reais.

O nosso objetivo é criar um sistema em que diversos modelos e estratégias de jogo interajam de uma forma natural e mutuamente benéfica. Como base de tal sistema, escolhemos a Era dos Descobrimentos, seguida do surgimento da ciência moderna e da Revolução Industrial.
