O modelo económico do 2040WORLD une dois públicos: os fãs das criptomoedas e os jogadores.

O ciclo principal do jogo baseia-se em gastar equipamento e bens para extrair recursos, divertir-se, ganhar experiência e progredir.

Os recursos extraídos são utilizados em edifícios de produção propriedade do jogador para criar novos equipamentos e bens. Os proprietários das instalações de produção ganham com as despesas dos jogadores no jogo.
